A ski technician told me about Sushi Den. I was in Denver at a Christy's Sports buying a pair of ski boots and getting my bindings adjusted. I said that I was looking for a sushi place and he suggested Sushi Den.

Sushi Den is located on Denver's South Pearl Street (not to be confused with the larger Pearl Street pedestrian mall in nearby Boulder). South Pearl Street is a two block strip located in the heart of a residential district. Located on this strip are a handful of trendy restaurants and shops. There is a shared valet parking service which is a good thing because parking is hard to find.

Sushi Den is not the type of place I usually like. It is a trendy place to see and be seen. It is full of beautiful people and always busy. The noise level can get pretty high. Even with all these things working against it — it is still one of my favorites.

The quality and freshness of the fish is better than most of the sushi restaurants I visit that are within sight of the Ocean. Sushi Den serves a mix of traditional and innovative sushi items. They also have a huge selection of non-sushi items. Order anything or better yet, sit at the sushi bar and ask the chefs. This is a great place, you can't go wrong.

Sushi Den is one of those rare sushi bars that is both worth the drive and worth the wait.

Yep, one of the best in the whole Denver area. Glad you hit it. The food (not just the sushi), the presentation, the saki, it's all very good at Sushi Den. It gets *very* busy by 6:30, if not 6, on Fridays and Saturdays. I haven't been here on a weekday yet.
